I wonder if the FB marketing people can read our minds...

We all know that they will pick up on words we write, find the interest we might have and then post ads about it on our pages. Common knowledge.

HOWEVER this goes beyond big brother.... today at lunch I bumped into a friend of mine that told me that he has been working as a consultant for the RICHARDS brand in Brazil. I come back home and I am now receiving ads about RICHARDS.

I certainly hope that this is JUST a weird coincidence. And if this is not a coincidence, I want to know HOW THEY DO IT!!

Does the Facebook iPhone app capture what you say as well??? YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Quando eu estudava catecismo na escola meu livrinho ilustrado mostrava a Divindade como um grande olho, de olho em tudo o que nossas cavilosas alminhas fizessem, planejassem ou desejassem fazer. Mas hoje em dia, devo concluir que não era olho divino, não. E nem ao menos do Big Brother! Esse olhão era a premonição do surgimento do Facebook, Google e todos esses outros olhos onipresentes...

Driving on the OTHER side of the road

Usually I think of myself as a good driver. I have driven a lot, on tough roads, long distances and crazy weather. I started driving at an early age and one of my first road experiences was when mom let me take the wheel while driving between São Paulo and the Amazon. Well, only for a few minutes since I was only 14 years old. We were on a small patch of dirt road and we were driving a Ford Caravan. I felt so powerful. I loved being in command of that machine that could take us places! I will tell you, those few minutes were enough to spark a passion for driving and for road trips. From that moment on I was hooked. I would always be the designated driver on many long trips through North and South of Brazil.
