FELICIDADE REALISTA - REALISTIC HAPPINESS
Martha Medeiros
A
perder tempo juntando, juntando, juntando.
demais, reduza-a.
inquietude no nosso coração. Isso pode ser alegria, paixão, entusiasmo,
mas não felicidade.
REALISTIC HAPPINESS - It should be enough to have health, money and love, which is already a perfect package, but our desires are more complex. It's not enough that people don't have any disease: we want, besides being healthy, to be bone thin, hot and irresistible. Money? It is not enough to have money to pay the rent, food and cinema: we want the Olympic pool and a five-star spa. What about love? Ah, love ... it's not enough to have someone you can talk to, share a pizza and have sex once in a while. This is to think small: we want LOVE, with capital letters. We want to be viscerally passionate, want to be surprised by declarations and unexpected gifts, we want a candlelit dinner Monday through Sunday, we want wild sex and everyday, we want to be THIS happy. Well, we just forget about trying to be happy in a more realistic way. Having a steady partner may or may not be synonymous of happiness. You can be happy as single person, happy with occasional romances, happy with a partner, happy on your own. There is no small love, especially when it comes to self-esteem. Money is a blessing. Who has it, needs to use it, spend it, enjoy it. Do not waste time collecting, gathering, gathering. Have just enough to feel safe, but not imprisoned. And if we have little, we will make it work, looking for things that are free, like a humor, a little faith and a some creativity. Being happy in a realistic way is to make possible and accept the improbable. Exercise without longing for the catwalk, work without longing for stardom, love without longing for the eternal. Look at the clock: time to wake up. It is important to think in the extreme, look inside for what moves us, instigates and leads us, but that should not be something that requires an inhuman force .. Life is not a game where only those who test their limits take the prize. Let's not be naive victims of such competitiveness. If the goal is too high, reduce it. If you are not in accordance with the rules, resign. Invent your own game. Do whatever it takes to be happy. But do not forget that happiness is a simple feeling, you can find it and let it go for not realizing its simplicity. It transmits peace and not strong feelings that could torment us and cause restlessness in our hearts. This could be joy, passion, enthusiasm, but not happiness.
